WWE officially announce Elimination Chamber premium live event in Australia

WWE will return to Australia for the first time in almost half a decade next February, with the sports entertainment juggernaut announcing the Elimination Chamber premium live event for Perth's Optus Stadium.

After months of rumours surrounding a major show Down Under, the company finally confirmed the news on Thursday AEST, with record-setting former champions The New Day on deck for the announcement. 

WWE have held just one other stadium show in Australia, with the 2018 Super ShowDown at the MCG attracting over 70,000 fans to see the likes of The Undertaker, Triple H and Roman Reigns in action.

This time around, Australia will be welcoming home some of the biggest names in the professional wrestling industry, with current world champion Ripley and rising star Grayson Waller both returning to their adoring home fans.

When is WWE Elimination Chamber 2024?

WWE Elimination Chamber will be held on Saturday, February 24th at Optus Stadium, Perth.

The ground can hold up to 70,000 fans and has been used for concerts, AFL and cricket since opening five years ago.

How to watch or live stream WWE Elimination Chamber 2024

Foxtel will broadcast WWE Elimination Chamber live and exclusive for Australian fans, while streaming service Peacock will be the only place to watch the show in the United States. 

For international viewers, WWE Network will carry the show live. 

Who will be wrestling at WWE Elimination Chamber 2024? 

At this stage, the official match card for WWE Elimination Chamber is yet to be announced - however, it will likely feature at least one massive six-man cage match in the event's namesake. 

However, expect to see some of the biggest names WWE has to offer make an appearance on the show, especially with it coming less than a month out from WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia. 

Aussie products Rhea Ripley and Grayson Waller are both expected to be in featured spots at Optus Stadium, while the likes of Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch should also be in action.
