Less than two weeks ago, heavyweight giant Jarrell "Big Baby" Miller put forth a brave effort in defeat to British contender Daniel Dubois in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. On Tuesday, the bombastic New Yorker was jailed for carjacking and burglary with assault in Florida.

Following a brief hearing on Wednesday afternoon, Miller was placed on a $30,000 bond and incarcerated in Fort Lauderdale.

WSVN reported that Miller, 35, assaulted a car dealership employee before fleeing the scene in a Dodge Ram that had recently been repossessed.

It’s believed that an unidentified woman helped the heavyweight contender get access to the vehicle. The woman reportedly told the employee that she’d left her phone inside the pickup truck that had been repossessed.

However, it's alleged that when the employee retrieved the keys and gained access, Miller immediately put him in a chokehold before slamming him to the ground and making off with the vehicle.

Miller is best known for failing a performance-enhancing drug test before a scheduled bout against then-unified titleholder Anthony Joshua.

Jarrell Miller pro-boxing record

Miller is 26-1-1 (22 KOs). His unbeaten streak was snapped by Dubois, who stopped him in the closing seconds of the 10th and final round.

Having turned professional in July 2009, Miller has scored wins over Gerald Washington, Mariusz Wach, Joann Dahaupas and Tomasz Adamek.

While he's picked up a string of fringe title belts, Miller has never fought for the heavyweight championship of the world.

Jarrell Miller drugs ban

Before a June 2019 bout with Anthony Joshua, Miller tested positive for GW501516, EPO, and HGH. The former and the latter are used to increase muscle mass, while EPO boosts red blood cells and improves oxygen levels.

Understandably, the New York State Athletic Commission (NYSAC) refused to grant Big Baby a license and he was dropped from the Madison Square Garden card.

The following year, Miller was scheduled to make a comeback against American Jerry Forrest in Las Vegas. Incredibly, this fight fell apart when Miller again tested positive for GW501516.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission issued a suspension and Miller spent over three-and-a-half years out of the ring.
