The latest UFC fight night was supposed to have a violent main event featuring Rafael Fiziev and Mateusz Gamrot. It was heading that way until Fiziev suffered a nasty leg injury, ending the fight in the second round.

Following the bout, Fiziev said he suffered a torn ACL, a huge blow for the UFC and its lightweight division. Can the two run it back next year if Fiziev heals up quickly?

Also on the card, Bryce Mitchell beat Dan Ige in a close fight. Did Mitchell deserve the win? What’s next for the unique fighter who brought a Bible to the octagon?

Fight Disciples hosts Adam Catterall and Nick Peet break down an exciting UFC card and Bellator’s latest event in Dublin. They look into Aaron Pico’s future now that he is back on the right track. A highly-touted prospect, he lost his first bout but has impressed since, and may be fighting for a title soon.

Speaking of belts, Catterall and Peet look into Johnny Eblen’s successful title defense against Fabian Edwards. Further in the episode, Catterall and Peet discuss the return of Paddy Pimblett at UFC 296, which looks to be a stacked card on December 16.

Fabian’s brother Leon defends the UFC welterweight title against Colby Covington, while Alexandre Pantoja defends the UFC flyweight title against Brandon Royval. Pimblett will face the dangerous and unorthodox Tony Ferguson.
