Steph Curry celebrates during his 45-point explosion against the Clippers

We've been watching it for over a decade and it's still as compelling as ever.

When Stephen Curry is white hot, it's compulsory viewing.

The Golden State Warriors superstar exploded for 45 points in a win over the LA Clippers, with the bulk of the damage coming in an explosive first period and dynamic close out performance in the fourth.

With a front row seat to the Curry show during his glittering career, you would think head coach Steve Kerr would be used to this level of brilliance, but even he admits it will never get old.

"Even though we've all been here watching it, I'm still blown away," Kerr said postgame. "Not just the shooting range, but the comepetitiveness and the guts and just an amazing, amazing player. What a game he had."

After a 25-point first quarter, Curry closed out the game with 10 points in the final four minutes including two high degree of difficulty long range bombs.

"Steph Curry was just Steph Curry. There's never been anyone like him. Those last two threes were ridiculous."

It felt fitting that Reggie Miller was courtside broadcasting the game on TNT, with the pair arguably the greatest shooters in the history of the game. Both Curry and Miller were named to the NBA 75 team this week, with the legendary duo coming together postgame to embrace.

The Warriors are now 2-0 on the season and much of the talk around their contention this season has been based around the health of Klay Thompson. While Thompson addition will eventually be huge for this squad, Curry has proven time and time again he can lift his team to victory with virtuoso performances like this one in San Francisco.

The Warriors are 2-0 on the season with a win against each of the squads from LA.

Draymond Green summed it up best when asked about Curry postgame.

"I'm always impressed. It's a very impressive thing that he's doing...but I'm not surprised," Green said."

"With Steph coming off a game like he came off Tuesday, you gotta know he's coming out firing. He doesn't have too many off shooting nights. Definitely impressed, but not surprised at all."

"He didn't miss a shot today in shootaround, so we kind of knew it was coming. But he could have missed every shot in shootaround and I still would have known it was coming."

Tonight was the second time in Curry's career that he had reached 25 points and five threes on 100 percent shooting from the field in a single quarter. The only other player to achieve such a quarter is a familiar face to Curry, Kerr and Green.

Klay Thompson.
