Arsenal will host Liverpool in the standout tie of the FA Cup third-round draw.

As 14-time winners, the Gunners are the most successful team in the knockout competition's history, while Liverpool won the last of their eight titles when they beat Chelsea on penalties in the 2022 final.

Holders Manchester City have been handed a more generous tie on paper than their two main Premier League title rivals this season. Pep Guardiola's side will host Championship strugglers Huddersfield Town.

Newcastle United won comfortably at bitter rivals Sunderland in the Tyne-Wear derby and Chelsea thrashed Championship opposition in the form of Preston North End, while Manchester United face a short trip to 2013 winners Wigan Athletic.
