Talladega bites.

The Big One looms large over Talladega Superspeedway, its wretched tentacles placing a suffocating grip on the storied track. History is scrawled along its walls — not just with the names of winners, but also in markings from fiery wrecks.

Bubba Wallace knows all too well the mayhem that can envelop the  The 23XI Racing star enjoyed a sumptuous day on the track back in April; there he stood on the final lap, battling with best friend Ryan Blaney for his first win of the season.

In an instant, it was gone; Wallace placed an ill-advised triple block on Blaney heading into the second turn, sending him spinning. He saw a likely top-two finish turn to ashes right before his very eyes. And all he could do was look down in dejection as Kyle Busch raced to victory.

Perhaps this time will be different. Wallace is on an upturn, having finished oh so close to notching his first win of the year at Texas. He's got a habit of churning out impressive runs at superspeedways, too.

But expect the unexpected at Talladega. Dust and debris find a home on Alabama's most renowned raceway. And that tends to mean one things for Cup Series stars: chaos.
