India avenged their loss in the first Test in Centurion against South Africa by inflicting an even more harrowing defeat in the second Test in Cape Town as India won the game by seven wickets.

The two-match Test series ended in a 1-1 draw as this is the first time since 2011 that India have left South Africa without losing the Test series. Their quest to win a series on South African soil will need some more time, though.
