In a high-scoring encounter, the Bengal Warriors defeated Patna Pirates 60-42 in a Pro Kabaddi League match at the Shree Kanteerva Indoor Stadium, Bengaluru on Tuesday.

It was a terrific raiding performance by both the teams, as a total of five raiders earned Super 10s in the match. Maninder Singh led the way for the Warriors with 15 raid points in just 16 raids, while Shrikant Jadhav scored 12 and youngster Nitin Kumar contributed with 14 raid points.

For the Pirates, their lead raider Sahin Tanwar scored 14 points while Sudhakar M announced his arrival on the big stage with 14 points from 12 raids.

Pro Kabaddi League entered a milestone tenth season in 2023, and the season is bigger than ever. After the last two seasons were affected due to the pandemic rules, Pro Kabaddi will return to its caravan format for the 2023-24 season.

Despite starting small in 2014, the league has grown massively in the ten years since its inception owing to the popularity of kabaddi across India and now even internationally.

2019 champions Bengal Warriors are still unbeaten in PKL season 10 after four matches and are currently at the top of the points table with 15 points from four matches. It was the first defeat for three-time champion Patna Pirates this season.

The match between Patna and Bengal recorded the highest aggregate score for PKL 10 so far. But there have been a few 100-pointers in the League’s history.

It was a Patna vs Bengal match in season 7 that posted the highest aggregate score in PKL. Patna Pirates had scored 69-41 win over Bengal in the League stage in October 2019, with Pirates’ star raider Pardeep Narwal claiming 36 points.
