For the second consecutive year, the Indiana Fever will get the No. 1 overall pick in the WNBA Draft.
The 2024 Draft Lottery was completed to determine the order of April's draft. The four non-playoff teams from last season are entered in the lottery, and four-digit combinations are pulled to determine the pick's order.
Seattle will pick fourth, as the odds predicted, but Phoenix's numbers were pulled for third, though they had the second-best odds for the overall pick. That left the Sparks with the No. 2 spot.
While each franchise would have massively benefitted from getting the No. 1 pick, there will be a plethora of talented players to choose from the 2024 WNBA Draft. Their selection will set up a future rebuild as each team tries to get back to the playoffs. For the Fever, the first pick could make an immediate impact in the 2024 season. It all depends on who goes pro and who stays for another college season.
