If Raptors fans learned anything about O.G. Anunoby during his seven years with the franchise, it's that he's a man of few words. When Anunoby says something, he means it.

Days after the trade that ended Anunoby's seven-year tenure with the Raptors, the newest member of the Knicks took time out to express his gratitude for the city and country he called home since 2017.

"[Thank] you to all the incredible fans in Canada, my teammates and the entire Toronto Raptors organization for an amazing 7 years," Anunoby wrote in an Instagram caption along with seven images that encapsulate his time with the organization.

Anunoby's choice of photos is certainly notable as it includes the reaction from his incredible game-winner in Game 3 of the 2020 Eastern Conference Semifinals, a dunk from Toronto's championship season, a photo from him and his fellow starters during his rookie season, and an image of his poster dunk over Clint Capela, which is arguably one the best in his career.

And while Anunonby's goodbye is just one sentence, the gesture means so much more.

Anunoby isn't just reserved with his words, he's also reserved on social media. The goodbye post on Jan. 2, 2024, is Anunoby's first time posting a photo to Instagram since Nov. 29, 2022.

So, just as he doesn't shoot to miss, Anunoby doesn't post to not evoke some type of feeling.

With feelings in mind, Anunoby and the Knicks head to Toronto on March 27 in what will surely be an emotional return for a player who became a fan favorite during his time with the Raptors organization.

In the meantime, Anunoby will be busy becoming a favorite in New York for everything he'll bring to the Knicks organization. They've got his development with the Raptors to thank for that.
