What time does the NASCAR race start? TV schedule, channel for 2023 Bristol playoff race

Bubba Wallace needs a miracle.

The 23XI Racing star has enjoyed a breakout 2023, earning his first appearance in the Cup Series playoffs after showcasing a level of consistency that has often eluded him throughout his young career. He even netted a seventh-place finish at Darlington, a performance that put him right in the mix for a spot in the Round of 12.

Then, Kansas happened. The site of so much joy last year — where he captured his second Cup Series victory —  became a reminder of just how brutal the Cup Series can be, even to its most talented drivers. After racing to the front of the pack, Wallace's rear tires turned into ash and flame. Wallace ended up finishing in 32nd place, dropping him 19 points behind Kevin Harvick for the final spot in the Round of 12.

Drama tends to happen at Bristol. And Wallace has shown he can come through when it counts; he did as much at Daytona a few weeks ago to nab his golden ticket.

Still, the odds are not in his favor at present; he'll need a career day at the Last Great Colosseum to give himself a chance.
