NFL Saturday Preview: Steelers vs. Ravens & Texans vs. Colts
The Steelers need a win to get into the playoffs on Saturday afternoon, while the Ravens will rest their starters. In theory, this leaves us to believe Mike Tomlin’s squad will likely win.
However, Tyler Huntley has experience filling in for Lamar Jackson and presents another dual threat at the quarterback position. In the final game of the regular season last year, the Ravens were beating the Steelers 13-6 entering the 4th quarter before losing 16-13. That said, Mark Andrews and J.K. Dobbins played in the game.
If you’re into trends, the Ravens are 20-3-2 against the spread as an underdog since 2018.
In the second game of the day, the Texans battle the Colts in a “win and you’re in” game. Star pass rusher Will Anderson returned from injury last week for the Texans and tallied two sacks in just 12 snaps against the Titans. His ankle could still be bothersome, so Demeco Ryans is saving him for obvious passing situations.
Devin Singletary has the potential to have a big game Saturday evening against a Colts defense of 127.8 yards on the ground per contest, sixth most in the NFL. If Singletary can get going, it should make things easier for C.J. Stroud, who will be playing in his second game after a concussion that sidelined him a few weeks.
