Even if you're not a darts fan, it's hard not to be impressed by Luke Littler's run in this year's PDC World Darts Championship.

The 16-year-old sensation will now take on Luke Humphries in the final at Alexandra Palace in London on Thursday morning (AEDT).

The final between Littler and Humphries will begin at 7:00 am AEDT on Thursday, January 4.

Regardless of the result, we will have a new World Darts Champion.

Victory for teenager Littler would be historic though, and see him become the youngest-ever winner of the tournament.

Fox Sports will broadcast the World Darts Championship final in Australia.

The match is not available to watch on free-to-air television.

World Darts Championship prize money

Hitting the big time in darts pays well. 

The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) has again allocated a prize of £500,000 to the winner, with the runner-up receiving £200,000 as part of a £2.5 million total prize fund.

World Darts Championship format: How many sets is the final?

The final will take place in a best-of-13 sets format.

Players will take turns to throw at the start of each set, which are won by the first player to take three legs.
