When did Rohit Sharma last play a T20I match?

Rohit Sharma did not feature in the T20I format for team India in all of 2023. The 36-year-old last played the shortest format in November 2022, in the T20I World Cup. An inclusion for the 2024 World Cup would see the Indian skipper return to the 20-over format after an 18-month sabbatical.

Sharma's last game was on November 10, 2022. India played England in the semi-finals of the ICC T20 World Cup at the Adelaide Oval. It has been close to 14 months that Rohit has not featured in T20Is.

How much did Rohit Sharma score in his last T20I match?

Rohit Sharma had a forgetful outing in his last T20I game. The Indian skipper scored 27 runs but ate 28 balls off the Indian innings. Sharma batted at a strike rate of 96.42 and failed to provide the team an aggressive start.

The Indian skipper hit four boundaries in his 27-run knock. His stay at the crease was cut short by Chris Jordan in the ninth over of the innings.

India suffered a defeat the last time Rohit Sharma played a T20I game. India bowed out of the T20I World Cup with a defeat to England. Batting first, India put up a total of 168/6 on the board. Virat Kohli scored a half-century (50 off 40), and Hardik Pandya (63 off 33) played a blinder knock later in the innings. 

However, all went wrong for India in the run-chase. Their opponents England won the game by 10 wickets, as the openers scored 170 runs in 16 overs. Skipper Jos Buttler scored 80 off 49 deliveries. His partner-in-crime, Alex Hales scored 86 off 47 deliveries. The England duo smashed 13 boundaries and 10 maximum off their blades to record a thumping win,

England eventually won the ICC T20I World Cup 2022 by defeating Pakistan in the Final. The European giants head into the upcoming World Cup 2024 as defending champions.
