It will be a homecoming for the ages for MJF when he returns to Long Island on December 30. The AEW World Champion defends his belt against Samoa Joe at the Nassau Coliseum, a familiar site for him. The event airs on BR Live in the U.S. and FITE/TrillerTV outside it.

The title fight is a rematch from September, where MJF beat Joe. When MJF's tag team partner Adam Cole got injured that night, Joe offered to support MJF as long as he got a rematch. A banged-up MJF and Joe not only have to worry about the other but the mysterious Devil.

Also on the card will be the finals of the AEW Continental Classic. The Blue League winner and Gold League winner competed in a grueling tournament and will fight one another to determine the new Triple Crown Champion. That title combines the ROH World Title, the NJPW Strong Openweight belt, and the new AEW Continental Title.

In another rematch, Christian Cage defends the AEW TNT Title against Adam Copeland in a No DQ match. Cage beat Copeland on an episode of AEW Dynamite for the belt after the latter got attacked by Nick Wayne’s mom. The friendship between the two will be tested in this ultimate grudge match.

Other title fights on the card include "Timeless" Toni Storm vs. Riho for the AEW Women's World Title, Julia Hart defending the AEW TBS Title against Abadon, and Hook facing Wheeler Yuta in an FTW Rules match for the FTW Title.
