And then there were 12...

The Cup Series saw its playoff field whittle down to but 12 racers last week. And with just three weeks left until the final cutdown race, the pressure is on NASCAR's best to strut their stuff.

First on the docket for the Round of 12: Texas Motor Speedway. It's a monster of a track, an asphalt-covered tempest that can strike down even the fiercest of Cup Series stars. It's just the sort of surface Denny Hamlin can sink his teeth into; the Joe Gibbs Racing supernova is the hottest driver on the circuit, having notched top-three finishes in each of his last three races. Can he make it four? Only time will tell.

With that, here's what you need to know about Sunday's race, the AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 400, including start time and broadcast information. 

What time does the NASCAR race start today?

  • Date: Sunday, September 23
  • Time: 3:30 p.m. ET

The AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 400 has a listed start time of 3:30 p.m. ET., but pre-race festivities are expected to push the waving of the green flag closer to 3:45 p.m. ET.

What channel is NASCAR on today?

  • TV channel: USA (U.S.) | TSN5 (Canada)
  • Live stream: Peacock, Fubo
  • Radio: PRN

Saturday's race will be broadcast on USA Network in the United States. Canadian viewers can find the action on TSN5.

Veteran announcer Rick Allen will lead the race's lap-by-lap commentator. He'll be joined by former Cup Series stars Jeff Burton and Dale Earnhardt Jr., as well as former Daytona 500-winning crew chief Steve Letarte.
