For the first time ever, the NBA will host an In-Season Tournament.
All 30 teams will participate in the tournament during the 2023-24 season, with eight teams advancing from Group Play to the Knockout Rounds. In addition to bragging rights and the NBA Cup, players will earn prize money based on how far their teams advance.
The Group Play games will be played during the regular season on "Tournament Nights." Each team will play the four other teams in its group once between Nov. 3 and Nov. 28.

Eight teams have advanced from Group Play to the Knockout Rounds.
Six of the spots go to the teams that finish at the top of each group. The final two spots are awarded to the team from each conference with the best record in Group Play that finished second in its group.

NBA In-Season Tournament dates

The In-Season Tournament begins on Nov. 3. The Knockout Rounds will be played in early December, with the semifinals scheduled for Dec. 7 and the championship game scheduled for Dec. 9.
The semifinals and championship game will be played at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
How to watch NBA In-Season Tournament
A selection of In-Season Tournament games will be broadcast on ESPN, TNT and NBA TV. The games not on national TV will be available on NBA League Pass. (There are some blackout restrictions.)
