It wouldn't be a dramatic NASCAR race without a rain delay.

Bristol Motor Speedway was greeted by the beauty and grace of Mother Nature on Saturday as rain swept on and off the track throughout the final race of the Round of 16, the Bass Pro Shops Night Race.

She was equal parts wet and weary, frolicking down the track throughout the early stages of the race and even bringing out the red flag at one moment.

LIVE: NASCAR returns to Bristol for the Bass Pro Shops Night Race

Here's what you need to know as NASCAR attempts to brave the elements for its final cutdown race before the Round of 12.

NASCAR at Bristol weather updates

8:22 p.m.: And we're back to green at Bristol!

8:19 p.m.: We're downgraded to yellow here at Bristol. Cars are back out on the track, making their rounds. Green flag not too far away.

8:13 p.m.: Rain out and about as the red flag comes out here at Bristol. Cars were previously cloaked in their protective covers. However, looks like those have been removed, indicating we're not too far from getting back to green. Drivers are in the cockpits and the jet dryers are wading their way off the course. Not too much of a cell, so this delay should be over in due time.
