The Rangers defeated the Bruins, 7-4, in their first meeting Nov. 25 at Madison Square Garden.
Rangers betting news: New York power play fuels offense
The Rangers returned with most of their lineup intact this season for first year head coach Peter Laviolette. Forward Artemi Panarin is the catalyst for New York's offense with 16 goals and 41 points through 28 games.
The Rangers have persevered through key injuries to defenseman Adam Fox, center Filip Chytil, and right wing Kaapo Kakko.
One unexpected bright spot has been the stellar play of 37-year-old goalie Jonathan Quick, who signed with the Rangers in the offseason. Quick is 9-0-1 with a 2.09 goals-against average. The veteran net minder, who also has posted a pair of shutouts, has outplayed former Vezina Trophy winner Igor Shesterkin.
New York is also benefitting from one of the league's best power plays this year. The Rangers have converted on 30.7% of their man-advantage situations, which ranks second behind only the Devils.

Bruins betting news: Top goaltending duo key to Boston's success
The Bruins have also been battling through injuries with center Pavel Zacha and defenseman Charlie McAvoy on IR. The latter is one of Boston's top blue liners and he could return against the Rangers.
Reigning Vezina Trophy winner Linus Ullmark got the start and win on Friday night against the Islanders. Ullmark hasn't been as sharp as last year, but he's still 10-4-1 with a 2.79 goals-against average. Jeremy Swayman has split time in net with Ullmark, going 9-1-3 with a 2.07 GAA. Boston's fast start is due in large part to the play of Ullmark and Swayman.
Pastrnak is the offensive headliner and for good reasons. He's coming off a season that saw him finish second in NHL goals scored with 61. That helped the Bruins set a new record for wins (65) in a single season. Pastrnak has continued his torrid ways with a team-high 17 goals and 41 points.
