The golfing world shifts its focus this weekend to beautiful Italy, as the 2023 Ryder Cup is set to take place.
Team USA is coming off a dramatic win at the 2021 Ryder Cup in Wisconsin, defeating the Europeans for the 27th time in the tournament's history. However, the Americans haven't won a Ryder Cup on European soil since 1993.
Both teams consist of 12 golfers, and there is no shortage of star power on either side. Team USA is captained this year by Zach Johnson, while Lucas Donald is his counterpart on the European side.
Europe holds a five-point lead heading into the final day after dominating again in the foursomes matches, however, the USA took three of four points in four-ball to keep it close.

NBC and the USA Network will split live coverage of the 2023 Ryder Cup.
Golf Channel will exclusively air the first rounds of the tournament on Friday with NBC taking over for most of the weekend coverage on Saturday and Sunday.
Viewers who choose to watch digitally will have a number of options to stream the Ryder Cup.
Those with cable subscriptions can turn to NBCSports.com, RyderCup.com and the NBC Sports and Ryder Cup apps. You can also catch the Ryder Cup with Peacock Premium, which will carry all NBC coverage throughout the course of the event.

There has never been prize money for the Ryder Cup that goes directly to the players. Whichever team wins receives money to donate toward their charities of choice. Those donations then get put in each golfer's name.
The biggest prize of the Ryder Cup is bragging rights for the next two years.

The 2023 Ryder Cup will be played at Marco Simone Golf and Country Club in Guidonia Montecelio, a town northeast of Rome.
This is the first time that the Ryder Cup will be played at the course. The last three years, the Marco Simone Golf and Country Club has been the host for the Italian Open, one of the events on the European Tour.
