March is an exciting month for art lovers in Hong Kong, with Art Basel and an array of smaller events taking place across the city. Putting street art at the forefront, K11 Art Mall will host an exhibition highlighting Edgar Plans' work and exclusive collectables as part of the Spanish artist's exclusive collaboration with the NBA.
Plans kicks off his global exhibition "Game On" in Hong Kong, supported by the contemporary art institute MishaMade. K11 Art Mall's piazza is transformed into a street basketball court covered in colourful pop motifs and doodles.

The artist's Lil' Heroes characters make an appearance in Hong Kong for the first time, including a 3-metre tall figurine.

Aside from the street basketball court, limited Edgar x Wilson basketball collectables are another highlight as part of the NBA 70th anniversary celebration. The collection, dubbed "I Love This Game," includes the global debut of limited-edition Edgar x Wilson Basketball plus art prints marking the 70th anniversary of the NBA.

The NBA has become a lifestyle brand of sorts as it branches out over the years with collaborations with top names in fashion, art and lifestyle. Between capsule collections with Louis Vuitton and cognac producer Hennessy, the NBA sets out to engage a new generation of fans beyond the action on the court.

The league reached out to multi-medium artist Daniel Arsham as part of its 75th-anniversary celebration that saw a redesign of the Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy. Along with the Bill Russell Most Valuable Player Trophy, Ashram's redesigns were hand-crafted and plated in gold by American jeweller Tiffany & Co. The artist and the jeweller also collaborated to create a limited edition Wilson Basketball in Tiffany's iconic robin's egg blue shade.

K11 Art Mall will be home to the "Game On" installation until 7 May.
