It's now a race against the clock.

The NBA's trade deadline is looming as teams work the phones to either add or unload talent before it's too late.

We've already seen some blockbuster deals with Kevin Durant heading to Phoenix and Kyrie Irving joining Luka Doncic in Dallas. The Lakers also finally made a move to beef up their roster, sending out Russell Westbrook and a 2027 lightly protected first-round pick in exchange for the trio of D'Angelo Russell, Jarred Vanderbilt and Malik Beasley.

With moves already made, the eyes of the NBA world now turn to the Raptors who seemingly hold a huge trump card in O.G. Anunoby as they sit at the table of the NBA's version of bridge.

Time is of the essence as the clock ticks down to the deadline.

What time will teams have to make deals? The Sporting News has you covered with all the details to know about the looming deadline.

What time is the 2023 NBA trade deadline?

  • Time: 3 p.m. ET | 12 p.m. PT
  • Date: Thursday, Feb. 9

Teams have until 3 p.m. ET to make deals on deadline day. The news of some trades may emerge shortly after that deadline.

Who are the top potential targets at the NBA trade deadline?

O.G. Anunoby, Gary Trent Jr. and Fred VanVleet: Anunoby could be the biggest name to watch at the deadline, but he isn't the only Raptors player worth monitoring. Multiple contenders will be calling president Masai Ujiri and general manager Bobby Webster.

Bojan Bogdanovic: The Pistons forward will be one of the most popular targets at the deadline — if he is truly available. Detroit is reportedly looking for at least an unprotected first-round pick in exchange for Bogdanovic.

John Collins: So, are the Hawks going to keep Collins past the deadline — again? He would be a nice midseason addition, but he has nearly $80 million left on his contract, which could scare off certain suitors.
