Former champions and hopeful contenders highlight the continuation of the PFL Playoffs with PFL 8 on August 18. Both heavyweights and female featherweights will be in action.

PFL 8 takes place at Madison Square Garden’s Hulu Theater in New York. It will be streamed on ESPN+ in the U.S. and DAZN in the U.K.

The main event will be a heavyweight semi-final bout between Renan Ferreira and Maurice Greene.

Ferreira joined the PFL in 2021 and is 4-1 with three no-contests with the promotion. He fought Rizvan Kuniev to a no-contest in April but beat Matheus Scheffel via knockout to advance.

Greene joined the PFL in 2022. He defeated Marcelo Nunes in April but lost to Ante Delija in June. Despite the loss, he is in the semi-finals as a replacement for the injured Marcelo Nunes.

Larissa Pacheco vs. Olena Kolesnyk in featherweight action is the co-main event.

Beating Kayla Harrison last season to become lightweight champion, Pacheco has thrived at featherweight, taking care of former Bellator champion Julia Budd and Amber Leibrock to advance.

Kolesnyk joined the PFL in 2022 and is 2-0 this season, beating Aspen Ladd and Yoko Higashi. She lost to Pacheco in the 2022 PFL Semi-Finals.

The other semi-final bouts are Denis Goltsov vs. Jordan Heiderman (heavyweight) and Marina Mokhnatkina vs. Leibrock (featherweight).

Goltsov beat Denis Goltsov and Yorgan De Castro to advance, while Heiderman advanced early following an injury to Patrick Brady.

Mokhnatkina beat Yoko Higashi and Evelyn Martins, and while Leibrock lost against Pacheco, she moved forward thanks to a win against Martina Jindrova.
