The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix this weekend brings to an end the 2023 Formula One season which Red Bull's Max Verstappen has dominated from start to finish.

Last time out, the Dutchman claimed his 18th race win of the season during the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix which brought the drama and featured the most overtakes of any dry race this year.

The now three-time World Drivers' Championship victor was pushed all the way by Ferrari's Charles Leclerc and teammate Sergio Perez in Nevada as both led at various points, but the 26-year-old eventually pulled away to claim another chequered flagged finish.

That said, last weekend's race throws up plenty of conversation ahead of this one, including if Verstappen can be caught at the front.

Leclerc and Perez themselves seem the closest competitors, but McLaren's Lando Norris will also likely challenge even after his high-profile crash last time out in Vegas. His rookie teammate Oscar Piastri will fancy his chances too, as will experienced pair Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso.

There's also still plenty to be decided in the Constrcutors' Championship with Ferrari and Mercedes battling it out for P2, and Aston Martin and McLaren fighting for P4.
